World Cerebral Palsy Day is celebrated

World Cerebral Palsy Day was celebrated yesterday at the Education and Rehabilitation Center “St. Josip Radnik”. On this occasion, an appropriate program was organized, an important part of which were presentations by expert lecturers and parents of children with cerebral palsy.
The lecturers at the celebration of World Cerebral Palsy Day were Dr. Nedjeljka Zrno, specialist in pediatrics, subspecialist in pediatric neurology, and Tatjana Vasilj Zelić, prof. rehabilitator, while Marijana Ostojić spoke about cerebral palsy from the perspective of parents.
Marijana’s daughter Lucija also addressed the crowd, and Ena, who came to the World Cerebral Palsy Day celebration accompanied by her mother and a teaching assistant, showed her creativity by reciting.
By the way, the celebration of World Cerebral Palsy Day organized by the Education and Rehabilitation Center “St. Josip Radnik” was supported by their arrival by representatives of Bročan schools and kindergartens, as well as representatives of these educational institutions from the Ljubuški area, representatives of health centers, centers for social work, numerous associations for children with developmental disabilities from Herzegovina, students and many others .
The goal of yesterday’s program was to raise awareness and better inform society about cerebral palsy. Also, the World Cerebral Palsy Day celebration program wanted to send a message of support to children/persons with cerebral palsy and their families, as well as encourage their more adequate involvement in the social community.
