The Association of Parents and Friends of Children with Special Needs is a non-governmental organization founded in 2009 with the aim of providing assistance to families of children with developmental disabilities, including children in workshops and providing transportation for children to schools, rehabilitation centers and workshops.
The Susret Association offers daily the opportunity to include children in a workshop in which an educational rehabilitator is employed, and professional associates who offer individual and group workshops. At the workshops, children make greeting cards, thank-you notes, wedding invitations, lapels, special gifts, spring and Christmas decorations, mark calendar events, celebrate birthdays, organize trips, and get togethers.
The association carries out various projects, educations, and organizes social events with the aim of including people with disabilities in the everyday life of the community.
The symbiosis of the Meeting Association and the Educational Rehabilitation Center St.Josip Radnik aims to create the best possible opportunities for daily living, therapy and improving the lives of children with developmental disabilities and their families.
The Susret Association has established a protective workshop “Susret Brotnjo”.
